After a long management career in the IT industry, Colonel Puschnig (born in 1968) returned from the reserves to active duty in the German Armed Forces in 2015, specifically to the Federal Ministry of Defence. After several military policy and defence planning assignments, he is in the management of Special Staff Ukraine since 2023 and, since the beginning of this year, Chairman of the Joint Working Group for Defence Industry Cooperation of the German and Ukrainian Ministries of Defence. He is an advisor to an M&A company, publishes in military science journals and gives lectures in Germany and abroad.
